Program Guidelines

  • Grants up to $1,500 are available.
  • Each teacher may submit only one application. If more than one is received, neither will be considered.
  • Grant applications must be submitted by Martha’s Vineyard and Falmouth Public Schools educators, and must be applicable to a specific grade, department, or curriculum within the school. 
  • Classroom supplies or libraries, field trips, extended trips, transportation, refreshments, and decorations are not eligible for funding. Compensation or trips to attend educator conferences are also ineligible.
  • Project Considerations
    • Does the project provide maximum benefit to as many students as possible?
    • Does the project enhance the core and supplemental parts of the curriculum, support new educational paradigms, and/or result in richer learning experiences?
    • Does the project call for collaborative efforts between educators?
    • Does the project have clear, measurable outcomes?
Review and Approval Process

  • The application deadline is Tuesday September 24th, 2024, 12:00PM. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.  
  • Uploaded attachments must be in PDF format. Applications with attachments in a format other than PDF may not be considered.
  • Grant awards will be announced in late September/early October 2024. Recipients will be invited to attend a Celebrate the Art of Teaching reception shortly thereafter.

By submitting this grant application to Martha’s Vineyard Bank Charitable Foundation, I agree to the following Terms and Conditions of any grant awarded:

  • All awarded funds will be sent to the school or district for distribution. Funds will not be sent directly to educators.
  • All materials/technology/etc. purchased with grant funds shall remain property of the school/district where the grant was awarded.
  • A post-project evaluation must be completed as requested by the Foundation. Failure to do so will result in ineligibility for future funding.
  • Images and project details may be used in promotions for Martha's Vineyard Bank Charitable Foundation. Assistance, such as photos, testimonials, interviews and materials, will be provided as requested. 
  • Prior approval must be granted by the Foundation for any substantive changes in the focus or implementation of the project.
